The patella
The patella of the knee or kneecap belongs to the bony structure.
Measurements that begin or end at the knee take the patella as a reference point.
The patella is a bone in the anterior part of the knee joint, which articulates the tibia and the femur.
The femur is the thighbone and the tibia is one of the two leg bones.
